Monos teams up with influencer Sincerely Jules for a new fall collection

Canadian travel brand Monos is known for its durable, stylish luggage that stands up to long-haul flights. Limited-edition collections are also a huge part of the brand’s success, and the latest between Monos and influencer Julie Sariñana, best known as Sincerely Jules, arrives just in time for fall travel. 

Inspired by the colourful landscapes of Los Angeles and Mexico, the collection pays homage to Sariñana’s upbringing with an assortment of Monos’ most popular products in two new shades: Cactus Green and Adobe Brown. The limited-edition collection is available online today, exclusively at Monos.com.

Q: Can you share more about the two colours included in this collection, Cactus Green and Adobe Brown? What was the creation and selection process like?

A: The colour palette featuring Cactus Green and Adobe Brown was inspired by the captivating hues of desert landscapes that evoke the essence of my beloved Mexico and Los Angeles, reflecting the spirit of wanderlust and exploration. Each hue and tone is a tribute to the stories and experiences that have shaped my journey through Mexico and L.A. We decided on these two colors so that it can offer a dash of inspiration and for others to embrace their unique paths through their own travel journeys.

The process of creating and selecting these colours has been incredibly inspiring and utterly enjoyable! Monos’ dedication to precision and quality really laid the foundation of this whole collection, and I couldn’t be more proud of what we created together. It’s truly a beautiful, timeless and genderless collection.

Q: What made Monos the right brand to collaborate with?

A: Monos stood out as the perfect brand to collaborate with because of their mindful “less is more” ethos. Their commitment to crafting travel pieces that are not only practical, but also a genuine expression of each individual’s unique journey deeply resonated with me. In a society characterized by disposable consumption, they focus on designing timeless classics. This collaboration has provided the opportunity to curate a collection that seamlessly blends style with purpose, which is how I like to live my life.

Q: Do you have any travel rituals while flying?

A: I have a few travel rituals when I fly. To begin with, I always make it a point to visit my parents the day before my trip. Spending time with them, having dinner together and receiving my mom’s blessing is essential for me. Without this ritual, I feel out of sorts throughout the entire journey. Additionally, I make it a habit to purchase two to three fashion magazines at the airport and read them during the flight. It brings me back to my younger days when I would dream about the things in the magazine, and now it just makes me smile because I never imagined I would be traveling the world. I also bring my own comfortable socks, listen to the same song during takeoff each time, and carry a notebook to jot down my thoughts and ideas while on the plane – some of my best ideas have come to me while on a plane.

Q: What is the best travel hack that has become part of your travel routine?

A: One essential travel hack that has become a part of my travel routine is packing a tote or two. This has been a game changer for me, especially as an over-packer. Carrying a tote during our trip proves to be convenient for stashing my camera, snacks or any purchases we make along the way, eliminating the need for multiple bags. I also always pack a change of clothes, makeup, toiletries and undergarments in my carry-on in case anything were to happen to my checked-in luggage, allowing me to navigate through my trip.
